Your Job Is Obsolete

The job that a lot of people who read my blog do, didn’t exist yesterday.

I’m amazed when I think my job didn’t really exist thirty years ago (video game developer) and I’m working with people (social network community managers) whose job didn’t exist three years ago.

Next year there will be jobs and job titles that do not exist today.

Flip that around.

How long until your job no longer exists (again)?

What would you do if you knew your job was going to disappear in three years?

I don’t mean you are going to be laid off, or fired, or just quit. Whatever it is you do for a living, and hopefully know how to do really well, what would you do if the world no longer wanted that?
