In our rush to learn something new, we very often overlook the most basic skills.

Many of those basic skills are never code-ified in any reasonable way.

When they are, we think “I already know how to do that, I have nothing to learn.”

And we move on.

We’re ignoring the fact that we always have some hole in our base knowledge which we are unfortunately not aware of and often too arrogant to listen to someone pointing it out to us.
