Hail Mary Investment

It’s 1999 all over again (almost). Investors keep throwing handfuls of darts at a dartboard without any kind of aiming and hope by a miracle that they will hit the bullseye. Smart investors at least know where the dartboard is. Really smart investors are actually in the same room as the dartboard.

Translation for the Americans in the audience: Football (American football) does not win games by continually throwing Hail Mary passes, yet there is dumb money investment out there doing this all the time.
