Failure Is Not Failure

We are taught, from a very early age, that failure is undesirable.

We are taught in school that there is only ever one correct answer.

We are taught that there is only ever one way of doing something.

We are not taught to learn, but to remember.

We are not taught how to figure things out for ourselves, but to listen to those who know better.

We are not taught how to grow as people, but to remain stunted and withered.

The tools and skills we learn at school and throughout our adult life ensnare us and deceive us into a false sense of well being.

I will teach you that what you have learned about failure is not true.

I will teach you that there is only type of failure that we need to be aware of.

This is the lesson: The only failure you will ever experience in your life is the failure of giving up.

Thomas Edison is quoted as saying; “I did not fail to create an electric light bulb, I just found ten thousand ways that didn’t work. If the first ten thousand did not produce the results I desired, I would have kept trying another ten thousand times.”

What would you do tomorrow if you knew you could not fail?
