Badly Rationalised

Just threw out four boxes of obsolete computer cables.

I kept them because “I might need them.”

Which was a tacit lie.

So I rationalised it as “I keep them, because when I really need that particular cable, I don’t want to have to spend two or three hours going to Fry’s Electronics to pick up a cable to do a five minute job.”
